The Ambassador Competition will be held in August at the convenience of the applicant and the Ambassador Committee.

The Ambassador Competition is open to all Peel County 4-H Members and must be at least 15 years of age as of January 1, 2011. The applicant must have completed two 4-H projects during the current year.
Former Ambassadors are not eligible.
Competition will consist of: An application form with a recommendation from a club leader to be completed by August 1st, 2011.
A 4 foot display to be judged at the interview, illustrating one of the following:

• a 4-H Opportunity (i.e. Future Talk)
• a display promoting the purpose of the 4-H program
• an interview by a selection panel on the day of the competition.

Applicant should be prepared to deliver a verbal Greeting or Thank you on behalf of Peel 4-H

The Ambassador is expected to be available for the Caledon Parade 2012, to present ribbons at the 4-H Dairy and Beef shows at the two Fall Fairs ( Brampton, Bolton) and the Spring Fair in Caledon in 2012 and to bring greetings at the fairs. Other events during the year include the 4-H Awards Night, the Peel 4-H Association AGM and two dinners where the Ambassador will be expected to bring greetings from Peel 4-H.

The Peel 4-H Association presents the Ambassador with a 4-H sash or medallion to be worn at the events where the Ambassador is representing Peel 4-H. The Ladies Division, Caledon Fair, presents the Ambassador with a framed portrait. The TD Canada Trust sponsors a clock.
