Rules and Regulations
  • All general rules of the fair apply. Health rules please see Dairy and Beef Cattle rules and regulations.
  • All animals should be on the grounds by 9:00 a.m. and must remain until 4:00 p.m. but all cattle must be out of the barn by 5:45 p.m. the day of the show. Section will be judged in the order they appear in the prize list.
  • The Region of Peel Agricultural Society has adopted the Canada Department of Agriculture Beef Classification, category 12.4. Registration certificates must be available and must be produced for checking when they are called for. All animals must be legibly tattooed.
  • Two exhibits per class in a maximum of three classes eligible from one farm or breeding unit to a maximum of 10 entries.
  • All breeding class entries must be weighed at the show prior to showing with the birth date, show weight and weight per day for all calves and yearlings, being posted in the stall.
  • Entries must be made on the entry forms provided and must be properly filled out giving all the information that is called for. Entries for Shorthorns must be forwarded to the Region of Peel Agricultural Society, 12942 Heart Lake Road, Caledon, Ontario L7C 2J3 on or before Tuesday, September 9, 2009. Entries for Angus must be forwarded to Judy McDonald, 10293 4th Line, R.R.#5 Milton, Ontario L9T 2X9 on or before August 24, 2009.
Use of Aerosol Spray Cans for livestock preparation for the Central Ontario Angus Preview Show is prohibited.
  • Entry fee of 20 per cent of prize money will be deducted from prize money won. Rosettes for 1st to 3rd place only.
  • Each breed must be shown separately and have at least three (3) exhibitors and twenty-four (24) exhibits per breed.
