Welcome to Homecraft

Homecraft competitions celebrate traditional skills like baking, quilting, knitting, canning, and more. Open to all ages and skill levels, these contests showcase creativity, craftsmanship, and community pride. Participants can gain recognition, receive valuable feedback, and even win prizes. Beyond the competition, it's a great way to connect with others, preserve heritage skills, and inspire the next generation.

Whether you're a seasoned expert or a beginner, entering a Homecraft competition is a rewarding experience that highlights the beauty of handmade traditions.

A Message From our Homecraft Chair

Our Theme for 2025 is “Country Roots & Rubber Boots”.

The Homecraft Fair Prize List has lots of classes to choose from; choose what suits your talents! The Prize List booklet can be found on our website, Facebook and in printed format at the Fairgrounds.

Winners from Butter Tarts, Machine and Handmade Quilts, Youth Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Youth Posters represent our Fair at a District Competition in October.
The District winners go on to compete at the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies Annual Convention in February each year.

Special thanks to the Board of Directors, and all the Homecraft volunteers who work tirelessly each year getting ready for the fair, revising and developing the prize list, setting up, and taking down the Homecraft displays. Thank you also to the community Sponsors and, of course, the Exhibitors who showcase their talents!

Please contact the Brampton Fairgrounds office – [905-843-0210 or bramptonfairhomecraft@gmail.com] – if you require a paper copy of the 2025 prize list or would like to volunteer.

Along with new volunteers we also welcome new ideas, so please let us know if there are any classes or changes that we can make for the 2026 Prize List.

See you at the Fair!!
